Mobile field verification application requirements
The mobile field verification application shall be used to bring planning data and unresolvable issues that require field verification from the address editor into the field. It shall make it possible to create, update or remove address units and sub addresses (in the future) and it shall make it possible to make notes about changes that must be done back-office.
The mobile field verification application shall be used on tablets and/or smart phones under field-conditions. It must allow offline operations to cater for conditions on remote areas with poor or absent network coverage.
Technical requirements
- Must be capable of running on Android and IOS devices
- Must be capable of running on both smartphones and tablets
- Must provide access to offline maps
- Must provide access to offline business data (addressing, signage data for field verification)
- Must be responsive
- Must be able to synchronise with back-end server and use addressing API
- Must use device GPS positioning
Functional requirements
- Must be possible to check out data that has been marked for field verification in the address editing application
- All data within an area
- All data marked for field verification
- Selected data
- Must be possible to check edited data back into the system
- After field-verification, data should be brought back into the address editing application
- Must be bossible to cache map data for offline use
- To use the application offline when working in remote areas
- Must be able to create, update and delete address units
- Add missing address units
- Move existing address units
- Delete non-extant address units
- Update status of address units
- Must be able to make notes in the map as points/polygons/lines
- I.e. to mark an area that should not be addressed due to demolition
- I.e. to mark the location where a street should be split or merged
- I.e. to make a note of a particular issue allocated to a point
